LGBTQ+ or an ally? Here's a general list of LGBTQ+ resources in New Orleans -- it's updated for 2018 and they take submissions!

Here are two excellent NOLA community resource lists from The Reproductive Justice Action Collective (ReJAC) - they include a ton of resources for all options of pregnancy (parenting, adoption, abortion care), healthcare access, resources for those who have experienced or are currently experiencing sexual assault or domestic violence, and the LGBTQI community. Women with a Vision - a NOLA non-profit whose mission is to improve the lives of marginalized women, their families, and communities by addressing the social conditions that hinder their health and well-being. Programs include Women’s Health Education, Promotion and Advocacy; Harm Reduction, Overdose Prevention and Drug Policy Reform; HIV/AIDS & STI Prevention and Education; Gender-Based Violence Prevention; Sex Worker Advocacy, LGBTQ Advocacy, and Civic Engagement.Women’s Health Education, Promotion & Advocacy.

The Reproductive Justice Action Collective (ReJAC) - a New Orleans network that aims to share information, resources, ideas, and human power to create and implement projects in our community that operate within the reproductive justice framework. Two of their projects include:

Plan B NOLA - Offers FREE OR BY DONATION emergency contraception (EC) and accurate reproductive health information through a network of Community Support Members (CSMs) in the greater New Orleans area. EC can prevent pregnancy when taken within 72 hours after unprotected sex. Text or call their hotline at (504) 264-3656 to get EC from a CSM, or stop in at one of their community outposts to pick it up directly (Dynamo is one)!

Can I Get An Abortion in Louisiana? - CanIGet, a project of ReJAC, is a compilation of abortion resources in Louisiana derived from both Google-able information and real experience from folks who have gone through the process of getting an abortion in Louisiana. CanIGet is helpful for those who are looking to get an abortion as well as those who are interested in learning more about the process.
